Maddalena D'Alfonso
President
Maddalena d’Alfonso, architect, essayist and researcher, is the founder of Md’A Design Agency, specialising in interdisciplinary services for museography, design and architecture.
She obtained the qualification of Associate Professor following a PhD in Interior Architecture and Museography, and since 2019 has been a member of the Scientific Committee of ICOM-ICAMT.
Her curatorial work includes the exhibitions Drawing in Cities (2004), Inheriting the Landscape (2007), De Chirico and the Feeling of Architecture (2011), The Landscape of Rights (2017), which was awarded the Medal of Representation by the President of the Italian Republic, and The Rest of Dawn (2023).
She is the author of several publications, including Álvaro Siza: Two Museums (2009), Suspended City: L’Aquila after the Earthquake (2015), How Space Transforms Art, How Art Transforms Space (2016), Warm Modernity, winner of the Red Dot Award in 2016, and Rightscapes (2024).
In 2024, she co-founded Display & Design ETS, an organisation dedicated to visual culture, art, architecture and education, based on the principles of sustainability, technological innovation and accessibility.
Giovanni Singarelli
Vice President and Treasurer
Architect Giovanni Singarelli graduated from Politecnico di Milano. For approximately 20 years, he has worked in architectural design and has overseen construction sites both as Works Director and as Health and Safety Coordinator.
He has also gained experience on major construction projects, including the development of the new neighbourhood in Figino, Milan — the city’s largest social housing project — and the detailed design of the new Policlinico Hospital in central Milan.
For the past five years, he has also been involved in reviewing projects commissioned by the City of Milan that are to be put out to tender.


Marco Introini
Vice President
Marco Introini is an architect who graduated from Politecnico di Milano and a documentary photographer specialising in landscapes and architecture. He teaches Photography and Architectural Representation at Politecnico di Milano. In 2006, his work was published in the catalogue of the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale. He was recognised as one of the 20 most influential architectural photographers of the past decade and was interviewed for the book La Misura dello Spazio (2010).
Among his notable projects, he has documented the architecture of Lombardy on behalf of the Regional Government and MIBACT, participated in a photographic campaign on Calabria, and published research on the restoration of an Italian modernist church. In 2016, his work was exhibited at the MAGA Museum and at the XXI Triennale di Milano, and he also received a Red Dot Award.
He has published several photographic studies, including research on the architecture of Mantua and Milan’s railway yards. In 2019, he participated in the Pisa Architecture Biennale with a project on the Maritime Republics.
Massimo Berardi
Treasurer
Massimo Berardi was born in Puglia and has been living in Milan for over 25 years. He studied Law and is a professional in the financial and insurance consultancy sector.
A founding member of other cultural associations, he has been involved in volunteering for over thirty years with various Italian and international organisations, both as an active member and as a supporter.
His interests include politics, social issues, cinema and photography.
